Installation - icomancer forum

Hi there,

I just found your app from BitDuJour.

I hope that you can follow my situation, lol.

Basically I am a Mac user BUT I have a PC that I wanted to use icomancer on.

The issue is that I have NEVER connected the PC to the internet... and it seems the only way to properly install icomancer is thru the internet!!! Is that correct?

Of course I have my Macs connected to the internet but would not be able to install and run icomancer, correct??? If it is possible to register it on the Mac then install it on the PC that would be fine but???

Seems like there is no way for me to use your program on my PC...

p.s. I also dont use Facebook. Is that the only way Log In to your site???

I'm not sure if Wine can run the .net installer and .net based apps. I haven't tried it because I don't have a Linux desktop to try in -haven't had the need- and, well, I don't have a Mac :-P

Now, if you try that and make icomancer run on your Mac, then the footprint generated by icomancer on that machine will be for that machine only... you can't copy that footprint to another machine without it being fully ignored.

I'm sorry to say that the only way to register your account is thru icomancer itself, either by specifying your username and a password or using the Facebook login facility -yes, Facebook is not the only way to get your account-.

And to login into the website, you use the same account you've setup on icomancer, either with or without Facebook :)
