When you have an image that has to be set as icon to the containing folder using the template + color + texture + style defined as Skeleton, then you should use the “Embody” mode. This is very straight forward: if you click on the area, a dialog will open asking you to select an image file to be embodied. If you drop an image file over the area, that image file is going to be embodied. The target folder is always the containing folder of the image being embodied, and the settings used are always those assigned to the Skeleton.
